Tattoo Wrap Pro — Second Skin Film for Tattoo Healing

What is it made for?

The thin film provides a covering between the fresh tattoo and everyday rubbing. Ink Nurse’s product listing describes a latex-free film with cosmetic-grade acrylic adhesive, supplied as a 10m × 10cm roll at 0.01mm thickness. Latex-free does not mean allergy-proof.

How long do I leave it on?

Ink Nurse’s directions specify up to 24 hours for the first application. Follow the pack and your artist’s instructions for removal and any replacement. Other second-skin products may have different directions, so do not transfer a three-to-five-day schedule from another brand.

What happens after removal?

Follow the agreed cleaning routine and let the skin dry. If your artist recommends a replacement dressing, use a fresh piece according to the directions. Once you move to moisturising, Remedy Cream is the cream option in the Ink Nurse routine.

Can I swim with it?
A waterproof dressing is not permission to swim or soak a healing tattoo.

What if the seal leaks or the skin reacts?
Contact your artist for dressing advice. Seek medical advice for a rash or concerning symptoms; do not keep a problematic dressing on just to reach a planned wear time.

Do I have to use second skin?
No single dressing routine suits everyone. Agree an approach with your artist, especially if you have a history of adhesive reactions.
